Registration is now open for the 2026–2027 TASN Administrative Academy, an in-depth professional development experience designed to help school nutrition leaders strengthen the practical business, operational and leadership skills they use every day.
Designed for directors, assistant directors, supervisors and other administrative staff working in child nutrition, Administrative Academy combines focused learning with opportunities to connect, exchange ideas and learn alongside experienced instructors and school nutrition peers from across Texas.
2026–2027 Academy Dates
Administrative Academy includes two in-person sessions. Each session begins with Academy check-in, followed by two days of classes.

Administrative Academy focuses on practical topics that support the day-to-day operation of a strong school nutrition program, including:

Who Should Attend?
Administrative Academy is designed for directors, assistant directors, supervisors and other professionals serving in administrative roles within child nutrition departments.
Whether you are preparing for a future leadership role or already leading a program, the Academy gives you an opportunity to strengthen your skills and learn alongside colleagues with a range of experiences.
What Registration Includes
Your $575 registration fee includes Academy classes plus breakfast and lunch on each day of instruction.
Hotel accommodations are not included in the registration fee.
Hotel Accommodations
TASN will have a limited room block available at each host hotel on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Hotel accommodations are booked separately from Academy registration.
- If the TASN room block fills, you may still book directly with the hotel, subject to availability, at the hotel’s standard rate.
- Hotel booking links and reservation details will be included in your registration confirmation.
Eligibility Requirements
To participate in Administrative Academy, you must:
- Be a current, active TASN member
- Upload a letter of recommendation from your director or superintendent
- Meet one of the following:
- Three years of school food service experience
- An associate degree plus two years of school food service experience; an unofficial transcript is required
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field
